Templace malfunction

For some reason, my latest “reposed uncredibility” post was screwing up my template display, and not in a way specific to one template. I redated it a year into the future, and that’s solved my problems for now. I wish I knew what was going on, though. Anyone got any ideas? I can’t find anything in the HTML that I haven’t been able to do without difficulty in other posts. For those who care, the original post is available here.

  1. How did you repost the original? My wordpress blog can bug out badly if I there are extra close tags, e.g. open-bracket slash div close-bracket. Sometimes it auto generates close tags but, like you said this was a pretty vanilla post in terms of html, so I can’t see it doing that. I’d double check the div tags immediately before and after your text.

If all else fails I’d copy and paste the original text into a text editor and then copy it from there to the blog to prevent any residual funniness from being transferred. It is an extra 5 minutes of work, but at least you know what you are getting.

  2. Large blocks of italic or bold text can screw with layouts in some browsers. I don’t know if that was an issue with this particular post.

Other than that I second the copy & paste into notepad or another text editor and then copy and paste back into your blog – weird invisible formatting is your enemy :)
