I enjoyed /Batman Begins/ more

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS NO MAJOR SPOILERS, BUT MAY RUIN YOUR MOVIE EXPERIENCE ANYWAY.

Saw the new Batman movie last night. Was very excited about it, basically expecting it to be /Batman Beings/ with a much, much cooler villain. And before going, I tried to avoid ruining my viewing experience by reading any reviews that might contain spoilers. But… I was excited, and gave in to the temptation to read brief bits that I thought wouldn’t contain spoilers. And I read PZ’s comments, which contained the criticism, “As a plot mover, the Joker was less an agent of chaos and more like the TA for a freshman philosophy course, leading everyone through twisty little exercises in artificial circumstances that present the poor student with difficult choices.” I don’t know if it was, in fact, anything less than a great movie, but I had that stuck in my head, and it was close enough to the truth to be very distracting. Made for a less enjoyable viewing experience.

That’s just my initial reaction; I’ll try for a deeper review later.
