Taking my cue from Ross Douthat, I present you, my dear readers, with a massive dump of things I had been meaning to blog about this year, but never got around to. Consider this an open thread:
*Peter Schiff apparently understand economics.
*Via BoingBoing and PZ, chem student gets labeled a terrorist and drug dealer.
*Newsflash: Facebook impacts privacy.
*AAARGH! A flesh and blood anime character! Wait, no, I wasn’t going to do any serious blogging on that. But it’s still fun to link to.
*Geeks take over the world. Part of my Facebook page now reads “Nerds are better at everything.”
*Apparently, The Pentagon is bankrupting America.
*Ann Coulter gets studied by scientists.
*Some rather silly complaints about PZ Myers.
*I do, however, find something to agree with Andrew Sullivan about: PZ is too ready to align himself with Muslim whackjobs.
*The UN gets highjacked by religious nutjobs opposed to free speech.
*How liberal religion can be very silly.
*Something where I’m actually inclined to side with Rick Warren over Andrew Sullivan.
*Michael Reynolds suggests abandoning privacy.
*Will Wilkinson makes an interesting comment: “Ridiculing as naive norms of anti-corruption and civic responsibility doesn’t undermine belief in the efficacy of government so much as expose the one who ridicules as a defector in a crucial cooperative game, undermining his reputation as a sincere advocate of the public interest.”
Oh, and I finally have a New Year’s resolution: don’t procrastinate so much when it comes to blogging about cool stuff.
