Palin stupidity

Not surprising, worth recording. Both of these are thanks to Not A Potted Plant.

First, Palin on elitism: an elitist is “Anyone who thinks that they’re better than someone else.” She wants to be a heart attack away from the presidency, and she thinks its wrong to think you’re better than someone else? I would hope she thinks she’d make a better president than most people in America, or else why does she think she should be veep?

The other bit is her talk about “the very pro-America areas of this great nation” the real America. This is doubly odd: first, because of the absolutely insane implication that entire areas of America aren’t pro-their-own-country, and the fact that Palin denied saying what she clearly said. WTF? As a philosophy major, this stuff sends my brain scurrying back to thought of non-cognitivism about moral language, and wondering if we should interpret Palin as not even trying to say something that could be true or false.
