Stephen Law has dedicated not one, not two, not three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, or even eighteen, but nineteen posts dedicated to dissecting the argument of the website Proof That God Exists. I’ve so far resisted the urge to read all the comments in detail. Sye, the creator of the site, is of the presuppositionalist school of apologetics, which seems to be based around making confused assertions about philosophy and then declaring victory as your opponent wastes time scratching his head. I actually tangled with these guys on a podcast fall before last, which ended in the host contradicting himself about whether he claimed to justify the existence of God, though unfortunately I didn’t have the self-confidence to call him on it (note to self: in future, never take fundies at their word when assessing their arguments). Stephen’s work in trying to clear up that mess is greatly appreciated.
